About Birthing Brave
Hi, I’m Sarah, Birth Trauma Doula and owner of Birthing Brave!
I’m a firm believer that experience (how you feel) matters more than outcome (unmedicated, vaginal, cesarean). Trauma is less likely to occur when you feel safe, supported, heard, and in control of your decisions.
I offer advanced techniques for second-time parents, including:
Scripts for effective, non-confrontational advocacy
Decision-making tools that reflect your values and adapt to the changing nature of birth
Comfort measures for every stage of labor
Up-to-date, evidence-based information on your options
With my background in mental health, I bring a wealth of coping tools for perinatal anxiety. I can also connect you with therapists who specialize in birth trauma, perinatal mood disorders, or pregnancy after loss.
My mission as a birthworker is simple: increase evidence-based birth knowledge and reduce the prevalence of birth trauma.
